Behavioral Safety Training

Behavioral safety covers the human layer of protection: people noticing risk in the moment, speaking up about it and acting on it. The program trains a set of recurring situations:

  • Observing a colleague about to take a shortcut
  • Starting the intervention conversation
  • Using stop work authority when something feels wrong
  • Accepting a stop gracefully when you're the one stopped
  • Reporting near misses instead of burying them

Each of these moments is a social situation, and social situations get easier with repetition. Training gives people that repetition before the real conversation happens.
