OBJECTIVE
To deliver a comprehensive HSE induction video that ensures every Nass Corporation employee, regardless of language or literacy, understands how to work safely, identify hazards, and follow HSE policies.

APPROACH
Our approach combined leadership visibility, cultural inclusivity, and creative storytelling.

Overview

Nass Corporation, a leading construction company based in Bahrain, partnered with our team to deliver a comprehensive HSE induction video tailored for its diverse workforce. With operations spanning large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, the company required a training solution that could effectively communicate critical health, safety, and environment (HSE) induction information across multiple languages and cultural backgrounds.

The final result was a 30-minute HSE induction program using stylized 3D animation, produced for five languages: English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, and Bengali. By combining accessibility, cultural relevance, and engaging visuals, Nass Corporation successfully reinforced its commitment to safety and employee well-being.

The Problem

The construction industry in Bahrain, like much of the Gulf, employs a large, multicultural workforce. Nass Corporation needed a training tool that could address several pressing challenges:

  • High-risk work environment: Construction activities involve hazards such as working at height, heavy machinery, lifting operations, and confined spaces. New workers required a clear understanding of how to avoid risks before beginning work.
  • Diverse workforce: Employees came from different countries, speaking various languages, making it difficult to ensure consistent communication of HSE policies and practices.
  • Retention of critical information: Traditional training materials such as manuals or slide-based inductions often failed to engage workers or deliver long-term knowledge retention.

Nass Corporation wanted a training solution that would help workers:

  • Know how to work in a safe and healthy way.
  • Identify dangers and hazards on construction sites.
  • Take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and colleagues.

The Solution

To solve these challenges, we created a comprehensive HSE induction video that combined real company leadership with stylized 3D animation. The production was structured in clear, thematic sections to cover all relevant aspects of workplace health and safety.

Live-Action Introduction

The video began with a short interview from Nass Corporation’s Chairman, reinforcing the company’s top-down commitment to HSE. This opening not only set the tone but also demonstrated that safety was a leadership priority, not just a compliance requirement.

Stylized 3D Animation

The remainder of the induction was presented through engaging stylized 3D animation, which allowed complex safety scenarios to be visualized in a clear, consistent, and memorable way. Animated storytelling was chosen to enhance understanding among workers with varying literacy levels and language backgrounds.

Multi-language Delivery

To ensure accessibility, the video was produced in five languages: English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, and Bengali. Each version included professional voiceovers, allowing workers from different regions to receive the same message in their native tongue.

Key Content Sections

The HSE induction animation was designed as a structured learning journey:

  • Introduction & HSE Policy: Overview of Nass Corporation’s HSE commitment, responsibilities of officers, and worker rights, including access to medical care, accommodation, and training.
  • Worker Obligations: Emphasis on reporting near misses, maintaining housekeeping, following dress codes, and ensuring defective equipment is identified and escalated.
  • Working Safely: Guidance on commuting to work, using PPE, maintaining hygiene, understanding essential safety rules, conducting risk assessments, avoiding lone work, and managing stress.
  • Office Safety Essentials: Ergonomic practices for posture, lifting, hydration, and stretching, ensuring safety in both site and office environments.
  • Safety Topics: Safe access and egress, vehicle and equipment safety, supervisor reference booklets, and compliance with traffic rules.
  • Hazard Mitigation: Training for working at height, lifting operations, lockout and isolation, confined spaces, temporary works, and public protection.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Procedures for responding to emergencies, ensuring readiness, and reducing risks during incidents.

By packaging all of this into one comprehensive HSE induction video, Nass Corporation ensured every new employee received the same consistent, high-quality training.

Project Results

The impact of the video:

  • Consistency: Every worker, regardless of language or literacy level, received the same standard of HSE induction. This eliminated gaps often caused by varied trainers or translated written materials.
  • Engagement: Workers responded positively to the mix of stylized 3D animation and real-world context. The visual storytelling held attention and made abstract safety rules more relatable.
  • Cultural Inclusivity: By offering the video in five languages, Nass Corporation demonstrated respect for its diverse workforce and ensured no one was excluded from critical training.
  • Operational Efficiency: The company reduced reliance on repeated in-person sessions, standardizing inductions into a scalable, reusable format that saved time and resources.

Ultimately, the project reinforced Nass Corporation’s reputation as a safety-first construction company in Bahrain, aligning its workforce with international best practices in HSE.
